Picture sources

Some pictures in our lessons are real images that other people made. This page says where they come from.

1. Coins

United States coin images from the United States Mint.

The pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters in our lessons are pictures of coin designs the United States Mint lets anyone show: the Lincoln Memorial cent, the Jefferson nickel with Monticello, the Roosevelt dime and the Bicentennial quarter.

2. Bills

Banknote images: U.S. Currency Education Program, Federal Reserve Board (uscurrency.gov).

We show the front of each bill only, smaller than a real bill, and we never write on a bill or put anything on it. This follows the federal rules for pictures of money.

3. Not connected with us

The United States Mint, the Department of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve do not sponsor or endorse Wonderloop, and are not connected with it. We use these pictures to help children learn about money.
